Covid-Relief For India

Yoga Aid invites yoga, meditation, and wellness enthusiasts to join a two-day Zoom event to benefit COVID-19 relief efforts in India. Topics and classes include yoga, Ayurveda, philosophy, discourse, meditation, chanting, Kirtan, and more, featuring Indian and South Asian teachers from around the world.

Founded by longtime practitioner and yoga teacher Monisha Raja and author, researcher, and yoga teacher Eddie Stern, Yoga Aid puts the focus on India, the birthplace of yoga.

Yoga has been a gift to the world and has benefitted countless people personally and professionally for centuries, and this event pays homage to India’s priceless contribution of yoga. The devastating loss of life to COVID-19 in India marks losing elders who have held indigenous practices and traditions passed on for thousands of years.

Yoga Aid offers a way to learn about these ancient practices from expert practitioners while directly benefiting India’s relief efforts through ticket sales and donations. Panel participants and teachers include prominent author Dr. Deepak Chopra, Yogacharya Dr. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani, renowned kirtan musician Nina Rao, yoga teacher, activist, and author Susanna Barkataki, author and philosophy teacher, Dr. Shyam Ranganathan and actress/activist AnnaLynne McCord, and many more. Scroll down to view all of our presenters.

After transaction fees, 100% of contributions from donations and ticket sales will go directly to COVID-relief efforts in India, with a focus on rural areas with high poverty rates and a lack of infrastructure. Yoga Aid proceeds will be donated to CWS, Invisible Girl Project through the generosity of CITTA.org
